Don't worry, the keyboard and controller can be separated.

Muuhahaha, it'll just take a little 'finessing' with a hammer blunt object to separate the controller parts from their casings ;)

So I was in the GO Train on my way home today, when I found a CWO.ca flyer that has something I want ...

Not ONLY are they selling a Mini Keyboard for $14.99 (whereas I bought the ones I keep at home and at work for $25each) but they're also including a FREE PS2 Controller (which I will gladly cannabalize for parts ;)

Hmmm, now I just need to figure out WHEN I will have the time to go get what I want ...

I went and danced at Babaluu last night and I realized something ... I've been neglecting my cardio. And also, Salsa is a good cardio workout.

I also realized that I haven't gone out to a Salsa Club in a while ... and I've been missing it. Ah, well, I've rediscovered the joys of 'Getting my Dance on'.

Ok, so didn't really do anything supper blog-worthy this weekend ... did some more practicing for the MCing I will be doing on the 30th though. Oh, and now it looks like I'll be doing some Bhangra dancing at the event as well.

The next practice is Thursday before the event .... hopefully we'll fill in the gaping holes left in the program then ... that way I'll have time to practice my lines in front of the mirror; really loudly ;)

I wanted to build something this weekend .... like my computer desk/chair thingy, but I never got around to it ... Some Dayyyyy.

I found software to mod the firmware of my MobiBLU MP3 Cube, and I used it! :D

AS WELL, the MobiBLU has seperate startup and shutdown screen animations - which I was also able to change :D:D

The startup screen animation now looks like this (get it? Omega -> Zed = Ohmz !)

Hehehe, I love playing with photoshop :D Especially when the results involve the letter Zed.

So I've had all day to play with my new gadget ... and it's wicked kooool!

I took it to the gym with me ... earbuds are better at the gym (less sweating of the ears due to insulative properties of headband style earphones). Unfortunately, earbuds ALWAYS fall out of the ear ... I don't know why. I wish there were earbuds out there designed for my ears ... not freakishly big dumbo ears. Ah, well, at least I got a spiffy new toy! :D

You know the old addage 'a watched pot never boils'? Well, I find it very appropriate in the current situation ... I WANT MY TOYYYYYYYYY!!!

On the bright side, UPS says that at 3:47 A.M. today the package is 'out for delivery' (from Concord Ontario). Hehe, I'm gonna be answering the door allllll day today :D

I worked out my arms yesterday ... boy am I sore!

I didn't get it today!?!?! ... though I honestly didn't expect it today either ...

What's really bugging me is the fact that the damn UPS tracking number isn't working, grrrrr. I want my toyyyyyyyyyy, or at least I want to know WHEN I'll get my toy.

Oh, and I also worked out for the first time in 3 weeks ... oh boy is this week gonna be funnnnn.

So it was the 'Good' Friday looooong weekend here in sunny Canada. I put Good in quotes because when the stores are closed, it's usually quite boring ... not 'Good'.

So the loooong weekend started off with a trip to the Home Show at the CNE, that was fun ... even if I was dead from all the walking done in only 2 hours, and we didn't even get to see half of the exhibits. Ah well Que Será, Será. I then spent the rest of the day in a planning session for the event I'll be co-MCing on April 30th.

Ok, it took me a while to get to this post, but I needed the included map to better explain how 'difficult' it was to get out of New York. As you can see, there are two routes: the one we were supposed to take through Manhattan (desired) and the walkabout that we ended up traveling (actual).

They say a picture is worth a thousand words ... this one is worth a thousand laughs. A lot of people have asked me how I managed to remember the crazy route we ended up taking; I just used maps.google.com in satellite and map mode to jog my memory (Google Maps Rock!).

All in all, I'm just glad I didn't hit a pedestrian ... those idiots in New York just keep freaking walking unless you honk!!! They're insane!

Ok, this is going to be my last post in NY for this mini-vacation. Ahmed and Aamir are gone right now to return the movie we rented yesterday, so I've got some time to kill.

Ok, So I'm in New York right now typing this post on Ahmed's laptop.

So Aamir and I got in ~8pm last night and Ahmed, Aamir, and I proceeded to go out to an indian resturant in Manhattan where I had some nice Aloo Paratha. Then we all walked through Times Square ... which was crazy busy. I got a bunch of photos and video that I'll be posting when I get back on Monday. Oh, and we also checked out the gigantic Toys'R'Us at Times Square ... which has a ferris wheel *inside* it. So we were all pretty tired ~12am and headed back to base to sleep for tomorrow...
