So I went to the 2006 Fan Expo on Friday with my buddies Terry and Tom :D It was so much fun!

Lets see .... I got to meet and fall in love with and take a picture with Morena Baccarin!! (the actress who played 'Inara Serra' on Firefly & Serenity)

Oh! And I got to meet Ryan Sohmer of Least I Could Do fame :D And of course, I got a picture with him and his trusty illustrator Lar Desouza :D:D

Ok, so I haven't really been doing any new posts for the past month ... So sue me :P

First, I went to a wedding in Ottawa for my good friend Mohsin and his blushing bride Nida. I've got plenty of pictures of that event here. Hehe, I'm probably not going to see Mohsin again for a year ... now that he's got that whole wedded bliss thing happening.

Woho! I finally managed to unlock my Samsung SGH-S307 (Rogers) Cell Phone :D And I did it for free!

Ok, So I bought this phone a couple of years back for $200 [I learned the hard way that if you get a free phone - you get what you pay for(Eg. Motorola C333)]. And I tried looking for the unlock method a year ago, but I couldn't find it back then. I guess, now the phone is so old (but still tiny!) that people aren't trying to make money off unlocking it anymore :)

Now for the details

Ok, I don't know WHY I'm even posting this ... it's pretty random.

At work, my desk is positioned in such a manner, that you can't really see me when I'm all slouched behind my computer desk+monitor. Every now and then you can probably catch a glimpse of me poking my head around my monitor to see who just walked into the office.

Hehe, in effect, my desk+monitor provides the perfect fox hole camouflage vantage point from which I can pounce upon unsuspecting insurgents cowerkers/visitors with my discerning glance (Muuhahahaha).

At work yesterday, we discovered that one of our computer SATA cables didn't work.

So I decided to strip off the red insulating jacket (just to make sure everyone knew it was busted). Then I discovered that the attached connector caps also doubled well as clasps (see where I'm going with this? ;) .

To conclude, I now have a geeky spiffy new/old necklace that consists of 4 reddish white wires, 4 steel wires, and 2 SATA connectors w/caps attached to one another. :D

Ok, so when I showed up to work yesterday the AC wasn't working. I have to deal with a faulty thermostat all the time at work ... so this wasn't something new. However, what was new was the fact that all 3 ACs that service my office were out of commission.

Luckily, I was able to grab the building superintendent outside the office, and he told me that he was already working on the issue. ... And 5 minutes later ... the AC on the other end of the office activates, while mine was still dead!.

I'm sure by now, everyone has heard of the Dyson Vacuum Cleaner. But do you know how it works? More specifically, do you know how it is able to seperate the dirt from the air without a filter?

Well it uses a process called Cyclonic Filteration. The air inside the vacuum cleaner is forced to spin so fast that the dirt/dust in the air literally just falls out. Now this is super cool.

So my buddy Mohsin is getting married in August, and we all decided to go paintballing in celebration. Somehow, someone found an outdoor paintball field that's not too far from Mississauga (if you call Milton not too far).

It's called Ultimate Paintball.

Just a word of caution ... take some insect repellent when you go there .... I've got 3 mosquito bites on my left hand and 4 on my right ... and 3 on my head.
