Computer Desk/Chair Command Center, Part Two (Minus 1.5)

Ok, so my plans for global geekworld domination suffered a slight setback over the weekend.

It turns out that the swinging platform that's sitting on the right chair-arm can't handle the weight of my 19" LCD monitor ... DOH!

So now I have to figure out an alternate method of floating the monitor infront of the chair while still making sure it can swing out of the way when I want to get out of the chair.

"You're Looking Good Tonight"

Ok, the most ego boosting interesting thing happened to me last night and I just HAVE to write this down.

Computer Desk/Chair Command Center, Part One

Ok, so I'm well on my way to finally replacing my "so 90s" computer desk. Replacing it with what; you might ask? Well I'm going to take a Adirondack Muskoka chair (see below) and then add some keyboard mounts (plural!) + a swingout table for the monitor. And of course, I'll be attaching the 5 different speakers for the 5.1 surround sound system in their appropriate locations ;)

A Whole Lotta ... ?

Ok, I've decided to 'promote' all the posts (that I made over the last month) to the front page. I figured it was time to get back to the regularly scheduled program: MEMEME!

Laptop On The GO

So I'm sitting on the GO train typing on my laptop ... gawd, I feel like such a geek ... hehehe ;)

The GO train just started moving, and I'm still typing! Hehehe, sorry, this is new to me ... this whole without wires thing is pretty spiffy. It's quite the heady feeling ... even if I don't have access to Google right now. I guess when I finish typing this up, I'll just play some solitare to pass the time until I reach my stop.

Pipe Brule

Muuhahahaha, call me Ishmael Mario; King of newbie plumbers! Hehehehe, I used a blowtorch yesterday :D

Yes, you read right ... I, [my full name here], got to play with use FIRE!! Muuhahahahahaha!!!!

Ok, so here's the backstory:

"Mission Impossible: III" for Me, and None for You

I also watched 'MI:III' over the long weekend, and it was an ok movie.

You know what ruined the movie for me? It was at the end when Ethan Hawk (Tom Cruise) explained the meaning of IMF to his wife. Turns out that IMF stands for "Impossible Mission Force" ... WTF!?!?!? Couldn't Hollywood have come up with a better title than that? I mean COME ONNNNN, I could come up with a better title; something like MIT-E (pronounced mighty) that could stand for "Mission Impossible Team-Extraordinaire". Or how about WMIP (pronounced whimp) which would stand for "We Make the Impossible, Possible".

"The DaVinci" Vidi Vici "Code"

Ok, I also watched 'The Davinci Code' over the long weekend (my mom made me watch it with her). Actually, it was a pretty good movie. It was an action thriller with a plot.

I don't really care what the movie said about Catholisizm, that was just a springboard to make the plot interesting. Honestly, if all the religious yahoos out there hadn't made such a big fuss about it, I doubt anyone would care.

- Peace

"Stick It" to me

Ok, so I saw the movie 'Stick It' over the long weekend (on Saturday). Actually it was pretty good; a fun movie I didn't mind seeing. Hehe, the movie was about gymnastics ... and I totally wanted to do some backflips after the movie was over, LOL.

Ok .... that's all I have to say about that movie.

There are PMS Issues at Work

Patch Management System :P

So our programmers in Ukraine decided a good name for our system of maintaining and updating our websites would be Patch Management System (PMS). And since this is a homebrew program, it's obviously got issues; thus there are PMS issues at work ;)
